The most common shoulder dislocation is when the arm is out of the socket at shoulder level. The inferior capsule doesn’t get hurt during sports activity but becomes extremely tight when the arm becomes immobilized for an extended period. This is the part that often causes frozen shoulder and problems with your shoulder ligaments.
Shoulder injuries cause impingements or restrictions in joint mobility.
People who have generalized looseness of their joints also suffer from shoulder instability. These people are considered very flexible and are said to be double jointed.  If a bad injury occurs it can cause the shoulder to become unstable by tearing the ligaments away from the bone and this results in extreme pain and more problems.
Dislocations and ligament damage in young people leads to further problems later on in life.
Diagnosis:
The doctor will examine your shoulder and check its range of motion determine the real extent of the injury and then he will prescribe the proper treatment that is required. The doctor will also recommend X-rays and MRI scans to determine the real reason and the most effective treatment.
Symptoms:
Whenever you injure a ligament the symptoms are the same.  There will be pain and swelling in that particular area and the affected area will be unstable. Shoulder ligaments are really painful and everyday actions are difficult to carry out.
